It has been another eventful fortnight in the Pathways space, with our TASC Taster Day, Subject Selection Expo, and Morrisby Information and Feedback Session all taking place.

It has been wonderful to hear many Year 10 students exploring their Morrisby Profile results and reflecting on themselves and their future options in light of what they have learned, particularly opportunities they may not have considered before. Over the next few months, I will meet individually with each Year 10 student to discuss subject selections and pathway planning. I warmly invite parents and carers to be part of these conversations by making an appointment with me.

In this edition, we feature articles on pathways into Veterinary Science, where to find reliable salary information, and a Job Spotlight on becoming a Materials Recycler.

As always, please do not hesitate to reach out if you or your child would like to meet and discuss any work, subject or career related issues. Working on Water

WoW is a unique three-day program for Year 9 and 10 students, designed to explore Tasmania’s diverse employment opportunities on, in, and around the water. From touring aquaculture farms and dissecting fish to visiting marine research centres, students gain hands-on experience and insights into real career pathways.

Following a record-breaking intake in 2025, students reported a greater awareness of career opportunities, with many leaving inspired to consider new possibilities for their future.
