Wednesday 10 June

The sight of Year 10 students sharing 56 pizzas together before courageously tackling their Morrisby Profile assessment is something I will not soon forget.

Congratulations to each of you for making it through the lengthy process with a great deal of tenacity. I cannot wait to release your profile results and begin unpacking them with you next week. A reminder that our Morrisby Information and Feedback session for Year 10 students and parents is next Thursday 18 June at 6.30pm in the Senior Campus Library.

Our final career event for this very eventful term will take place in Week 9 when speaker and author Alana Kilmartin will return to Calvin to bring her unique brand of vibrant and engaging career advice to our students.

In this edition we have articles about becoming a protective services officer with the AFP, pathways in the performing arts as well as a job spotlight on becoming a sustainable architect.

As always, please do not hesitate to reach out if you or your child would like to meet and discuss any work, subject or career related issues. I am available during the school term on Monday, Wednesday and Thursday between 8.00am and 4.00pm. To make an appointment please visit my booking calendar or contact me by email at awright@calvin.tas.edu.au. Students may make an appointment during school time as appropriate.

Surprising jobs that pay very well
