Student Data Collection NoticeEach year the Australian government collects data regarding your child and their enrolment. This data is used to inform Commonwealth School Education policy, and to help ensure that Commonwealth funding arrangements for non-government schools are based on need, and are fair and transparent. Our School provides this data to the Department of Education, Skills and Employment automatically, but is required to inform you that this will occur. You can read more about this process or contact us if you have any questions. NAPLAN 2025Each year, students in Years 3, 5, 7 and 9 participate in the National Assessment Programme – Literacy and Numeracy (NAPLAN). The results are used to measure individual students and student cohorts, educational outcomes in literacy (reading, writing, spelling, grammar and punctuation) and numeracy. The assessments will be conducted across two weeks this year from 12 to 24 March with opportunity for catch up of missed tests. The assessments will occur within class time and will be supervised by Calvin Christian School staff. The Parent and Carers Information sheet contains details of NAPLAN online. A simple English version is also available. Students in Years 7 and 9 will need to supply their own headphones for all tests. Student Withdrawals Parents may choose to withdraw their students from NAPLAN or, in certain circumstances, they may receive an exemption. If you wish to withdraw your child, please contact the School to advise us and complete the required document prior to 7 March. Student Adjustments For information about test adjustments for Learning Enrichment students, contact Mrs de Kievit.
