Monday 10 November

As our Senior students commence their exams today, may they be encouraged as they prepare and apply themselves to the task. May they also lift their eyes to see that exams are but one small part of their story, and may they see many possibilities before them as they make decisions and plan for their future.

Meanwhile, our Year 10 students are busy searching for placements for their Work Experience Week in the first week of December. If you or your business could host a Calvin student for Work Experience, this would be a true blessing for our students who are keen to explore the world of work. We are seeking placements in a wide range of local workplaces. Please contact me via email if you feel able to assist.

UTAS joins a host of universities now offering academic credit for training completed through McDonalds’ new Archways to Opportunity Program.

Three of our Year 10 students were recently selected to partake in the very popular Working on Water Program, a joint partnership between Tasmanian organisations based in, on and around water. Our students visited facilities at IMAS, CSIRO, Mures, Tassal, Huon Aquaculture and enjoyed a boat trip with Pennicott Wilderness Tours.
