Welcome to Pathways Connections

Pathways Connections is a new fortnightly Calvin newsletter to keep parents and students updated about anything of interest in the careers and pathways space. You will find details of career learning activities, work experience opportunities, university admissions information and anything that may be of interest as students are developing their career identity and exploring their options for the future.

This week’s edition is heavy on university pathways but as we progress through the term we will explore a wider range of career pathways.

Natural Sciences Experience: From critters to the cosmos

Last week during PDP our Year 11 and 12 students were able to hear from author and speaker Alana Kilmartin of Unserious Careers. Alana has been travelling around Australia speaking to school students about their careers and has written a wonderfully light hearted and informative guide to the first five years after leaving school. If parents would like to purchase a copy of Alana’s book, it is available here.
