Parents, do you remember doing Year 10 work experience? Students, take the chance to ask Mum and Dad all about it. Where did they spend their week? Did it influence their decision making? Research by the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development* (OECD) shows that work-based learning remains exceptionally important for young people navigating their first career decisions. A taste of the workplace can be a powerful experience in confirming or contesting emerging career ideas. More importantly, it gives students an opportunity to gain agency, exercise curiosity and bridge the gap between their education and the world beyond school.

Year 10 Work Experience will take place from Monday 30 November and Friday 4 December. Students will receive their work experience documentation during our next PDP session, during which we will cover the process of finding and organising a placement.
