Pathways Connections

This term has been the fullest and most ambitious I have had since joining the Pathways space at Calvin. We have held major events (such as our Subject Selection Expo, Life Library and guest presenters) as well as some new ventures (such as the Morrisby Profile assessment and our TASC Taster Day). The students have been active in their engagement and feedback. For each of them, I hope it has been an enriching time of exploration as it has been for me.

Applications are now open for the UTAS Schools Recommendation Program. Please note, this is the first of three rounds of early offers made by the university before ATAR based applications open. Year 12 students can apply for up to five courses (in the order of their preference) via the SRP portal. The next round of early offers will open in September.

In this edition we have articles about careers in the beauty industry and the apple industry as well as a job spotlight on becoming a drone operator.

As always, please do not hesitate to reach out if you or your child would like to meet and discuss any work, subject or career related issues. I am available during the school term on Monday, Wednesday and Thursday between 8.00am and 4.00pm.
