Year 6 Graduation Assembly.

In Our Classrooms

Year 5/6 SY have been studying Natural disasters in HASS and in the process learning important life skills for working as a team.

Every primary class has a ‘Buddy’ class who they spend time with doing a variety of activities throughout the year. Recently Year 5/6 SY and Year 2 H enjoyed making Christmas decorations together.

Hats of all different shapes and sizes were recently spied on the Primary Campus as students raised funds for Lift the Lid on Mental Illness. Thank you to all those who donated to this worthy cause.

Our Year 7 students have been working on sewing double layered bibs to donate to Tassie Mums.

Our Year 7 students harvested from our vegetable garden and our Year 8 students used this to create an amazing salad.

Our Year 10 Drama class have worked together as a team to produce a short play where every role in the production process was filled by students.

Out and About

Our Prep classes recently enjoyed a visit to the Sustainability Centre in Mt Nelson where they learnt about our amazing bushland and some of the species that live in it.

Thank you to the Reardon family who recently hosted our Year 1 students on their farm. Students particularly enjoyed meeting Benji the baby calf.

Our Year 3/4 Instrumental group were privileged to take part in the Marimba Mania event at the Kingston Hub in November. It is an event where schools from all over Hobart come to play Marimbas together. Such a rewarding experience to be a part of!!

Our Year 8 students enjoyed an amazing camp last week, with kayaking, snorkelling and bush walking.

Last Friday our Year 10 students had a day of activities together, to mark the end of their year of studies prior to their work experience this week.

Special Occasions

Last week our Year 10 students enjoyed their Op Shop Ball.

Families and Calvin teachers gathered to honour our Year 12 cohort and bring stories of their time as Calvin students.
