Uniform Shop Back to School
Opening Hours

The Uniform Shop will close for Term 1 on 6 April.

It will open on the following days for any families needing back to school items for Term 2:

Monday 24 April - 10.00am to 12.00pm
Thursday 27 April - 8.00am - 12.00pm

Normal opening hours will commence from 2 May. A reminder that these are:

Tuesdays 8.00am to 12.00pm
Thursdays 8.00am to 4.00pm

Welcome Back

We welcome back alumni who are now staff! Heidi Kelly, Zac Duffy and Stephen Matthews were all students at Calvin and now return in teaching and learning roles. You can find out more about them on our Facebook page.

PRIMARY NEWS

Year 5/6 Crombie

It has been a great start to the year where the fabulous Year 5/6C students have been making good use of the facilities, been working in and out of the classroom, regularly undertaking Daily Physical Activity (PA), and getting to know each other better.

Seeing the Year 5/6 C students exploring and using the facilities available to us on the Secondary Campus has been great. They have enjoyed climbing the extra large space net and using the new swings, but they have also enjoyed using the science labs for our Science and Digital Technology lessons.

The Year 5/6 students have been enjoying the weather this year, taking full advantage of it to work where they feel most suits them, from their desks, group tables, couches, the floor and even outside.

The weather has also meant that we can get outside regularly to do Daily PA, undertaking games selected by the students such as Never Have I Ever, Red Rover and Flags.

It has been a terrific start to the year, where we have started getting to know one another, and we look forward to getting to know each other better during our Year 5/6 camp next week.

Out of School Hours Care

Adventure Patch will commence running our Out of School Hours Care program from the start of Term 2, 26 April 2023. In the interim, Stepping Stones have agreed to extend their service until 17 March. In the weeks between 20 March to 5 April, Calvin Christian School will provide a free on-site service for those families.

In preparation for Term 2, families can register with Adventure Patch, but please be aware that Calvin Christian School will not appear as a service option until that has final approval. We will keep you up-to-date with changes but look forward to continuing to serve our families in this way.

Year 7 Camp

A great time was had by all at our Year 7 Camp last week.

Students (and staff) enjoyed ocean rafting, snorkelling, ropes courses, indoor and outdoor sport, beach activities, a camp fire, a quiz night and times to relax. During the camp, they shared devotions, reading from the Bible and praying together.

Employment Opportunities
