Year 2 Excursion

This week the Year 2 class travelled to the St Clements cemetery to learn more about the history of Kingborough. You can view photos and read more here.

Year 5/6 Hofman

This term the 5/6 classes have been reading the novel Hatchet: Winter which continues the story of Brian Robeson, a thirteen-year-old boy who is forced to survive alone in the wilderness.

At our recent camp the Year 5 students competed against each other in small groups to create a shelter reminiscent of the one created by Brian in the book.

5/6H also recently reflected upon their favourite aspects of the novel thus far, and drew comparative drawings based on the clothing Brian wore before becoming stranded, and afterwards once he had adapted to the climate.

SECONDARY NEWS

They provide services to Australian families suffering after the injury or death of a spouse or parent, during or after their defence force service.

Year 7 & 8 Trimester Showcase

On Wednesday we held our Year 7 and 8 Trimester Showcase. The Showcase is a celebration of Design, Food, and Digital Technologies, as well as the Performing and Visual Arts. It was wonderful to hear and see the progress of our students in such a variety of different subject areas!

You can view a full album of photos here.

Calvin Secondary Vocal Group

On Monday the Calvin Vocal Group sang at the City of Clarence Eisteddfod. The adjudicator praised the students saying the harmonies were beautifully sung, and the sound and tones were well balanced between all voices. An excellent performance. Well done!
